CHA Summer 2007

My adventure to CHA was not nearly as eventful as some of my co-worker's trip was, as far as the travel goes. I did have about an hour and a half delay in Little Rock so I arrived a little later than I planned. Coming home my luggage arrived in Little Rock on the flight before me (no explanation for that) and I thought it was lost. I was relieved when I found it waiting for me at the American desk!!

The morning I left, I ate breakfast at home around 5:00 A.M. and didn't have another bite until around 2:00 P.M. I was starving and my choices were limited. I waited in line at the "Expo-teria" for about 30 minutes and all they had that was suitable for my diet plan was the salad bar. I think I did quite well. What do you think?

The weather couldn't have been better. It was beautiful and sunny. The temperatures were in the high 70's and low 80's. It was perfect!

As far as the show went, I didn't see the next "big thing" but I did see a lot of things. I mostly go for the contact with designers and I saw several that we currently work with but I met a few new designers as well. It is always so good to meet a designer in person and put a name with a face.

I think our booth looked nice. It was the first time that I know of that our booth was divided by a walkway. One side of the booth focused on the books and the other side focused on the DVD's and other special products. Take a look at just a few of the things we had displayed.

The last few trips I have taken for Leisure Arts, I have shared with you the view out of my window, this post can't be any different. My view was the worst so far. Not that is really mattered, as I was hardly in my room, during daylight hours anyway.

Another thing about the room, well the hotel in general. It is a very nice, comfortable hotel but it is close to the airport. I took this shot from my window. I heard planes way into the night before finally going to sleep.

Just to show you one of the comforts of my room, the bed. I could have taken it home with me and look at all of the pillows! I slept very well!

The convention center looked nice. There were flowers everywhere you looked.

Susan Sullivan and I traveled back to Little Rock together. Here she is in the hotel lobby. We had claimed our luggage and sat down for a minute to get organized before going on to the airport.
